Apparently we have a forger in the family. My 7 year old nephew decided to turn his mother's 3$ check into a 23$ check in order to get more change from his present purchase at school. That's the only reason I can think of since the present he was buying was for a lady he "forgot" in the first round of shopping. Not only did he change the number (that would be too easy) he also wrote "twenty" in front of the three on the writing line. To top it off, he wrote a note with it saying "this is Brooks' mom and he can buy anything he wants". Is it wrong that I'm impressed with his thoroughness? I mean this kid thought of everything.. except the penmanship discrepency of course. I'm a little disppointed in his action and probably should be more than a little by hey, he's not my kid. Not my problem. I'll end up having to deal with shoplifting, not forgery. Jenn, she'll have to deal with something like joy riding...
Anyways, Brooks I think will have to work off the money with chores. Hopefully he will learn that forgery is wrong... sometimes. This, unfortunately for him, is not one of those "sometimes" moments...
